You will find Prostrate Knotweed growing in the Spring. Prostrate Knotweed seeds can stay active in the soil for years.
This perennial plant has many stems growing from 4"-8" in height. The flowers are small and can range from white to green. Prostrate Knotweed is slightly toxic if ingested.

You can recognize a speedwell weed by its oval-shaped leaves & tall flowering stems.

Wild Violet is identifiable with its vibrant purple flowers & bright green oval-shaped leaves.
This perennial grows low to the ground and has a dense root system making it tough & stubborn. Typically Wild Violet tends to grow in shaded areas, near tree clearings, & by woodland edges.
✅ Pro Tip: Wild Violet has a delightfully sweet scent, but don't let that fool you if you find this weed in your lawn because this plant can be invasive to your yard. It is best to take care of it quickly when found in your grass.
Yellow Wood Sorrel is easily distinguishable by its tiny yellow flowers 🌼 , each with five petals and three heart-shaped leaves.
This weed can begin appearing in early Spring & stick around until the late Fall! 🍂
Fun Fact: The leaves of Yellow Wood Sorrels curl inward at night & open up again when they feel the sun and are ready to photosynthesize.
