Core aeration is a lawn service that relieves soil and grass root compaction. A machine pulls small soil cores (plugs) from the lawn. The holes allow the compact soil to loosen, creating an easier path for roots to grow.

We recommend core aerating at least once per year. If your lawn sees heavy traffic from kids, pets, or frequent use, we suggest aerating twice annually.

Core aeration should be performed when grass is actively growing.

Yes. After completing services, our crews are trained to walk the property and close any gates we opened.

Yes, if your lawn is taller than 4 inches. Grass should be shorter than 4 inches when performing aeration.

Overseeding is optional. If you choose to overseed, doing it after aeration is best because the prepared soil provides optimal conditions for germination.

Dog fence and cable lines should be buried at least 4" deep. Since that’s not always the case, please mark any invisible fences or shallow cables before service so our technicians can avoid them.

No. You don’t need to be home. Our crews will complete your service while you go about your day. Please ensure locked gates are accessible and pets are safely indoors.

Our standard rate includes one pass across the lawn. If your lawn has dense compaction, we recommend a second pass for an additional charge.
